Thinking of the future means acting sustainably – right now.
We believe that behaving responsibly is essential to achieving our overall objective to be a sustainable business for the long-term. The Board, through the Responsible Business Committee, leads the Group’s commitment to sustainability and encourages the management team to run the business in a sustainable manner, be that through operating our production plants more efficiently, using less water, or increasing recycling.
In May 2021, we became a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), the world's largest voluntary corporate initiative to implement universal sustainability principles. In line with our commitment to the UNGC, we are focussing strongly on environmental, social and governance improvements and have introduced our ESG Strategy: Planet, People, Processes (PPP), to help us achieve our goals.
Our Commitments
PLANET
We have committed to concentrating our efforts on renewable energy and recyclable packaging in order to reduce the impact that we have on our environment. We are also focusing on better waste management and on developing a road map to carbon neutrality.
PEOPLE
Our aim is to ensure that we are a positive contributor to all of the societies and communities in which we operate and are developing a culture of engagement among our people.
PROCESSES
The goal here is to implement the strongest possible governance principles in all areas of the company, and on using our resources as efficiently as possible.
As a Group we still have plenty to do on ESG, but we believe that our strategy provides a very solid foundation from which to build.
