The first Polish barley vodka!
02/12/2011
In October, a new clear vodka under the Żołądkowa Gorzka brand was launched on the Polish market. This vodka is made from 100% high quality barley and owes its exceptional purity and neutral, mild flavour to this carefully selected grain.
Jęczmienna Żołądkowa Gorzka [Żołądkowa Gorzka Barley] sets new quality standards in the mainstream vodka segment. This is the first vodka produced in Poland that is manufactured entirely from barley. Usually, this high quality grain is reserved for premium and superpremium alcoholic beverages and this is typical when a single type of grain is used in the production of spirits. Żołądkowa Gorzka, however, is introducing these premium standards to the mainstream vodka segment.
The guarantee of exceptional flavour and a new quality standard offered by Jęczmienna Żołądkowa Gorzka stems from carefully selected barley which gives the vodka its neutral taste and delicate aroma. Barley is a grain with a splendid history of high quality and high expectations. It is used extremely rarely in the manufacture of vodka – and when it is, then it used mainly by Scandinavians. However, barley is the grain used widely in the production of whisky.
The indisputable success of the market leader, Żołądkowa Gorzka Czysta de Luxe (13.7% volume share, MAT AC Nielsen August 2011) launched by Stock Polska in 2007, prompted its manufacturer to launch another product into the world of clear vodkas. Enjoying the enthusiastic response of consumers, Stock has created Jęczmienna Żołądkowa Gorzka. Similarly to Czysta de Luxe, it is now setting new standards in the clear vodka category.
