14/09/2009
Stock Spirits Group (SSG), Central Europe's leading branded spirits and liqueurs producer, has launched its latest European operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina as the next stage of its expanding presence across the region.
Stock BH d.o.o., the new company, will perform sales and marketing operations for the Stock brand portfolio and will support the increasing demand for Stock products in what is one of the company's largest export markets. Stock BH d.o.o. will be based in Sarajevo and will be headed up by General Manager Dean Slavujevic.
Neil Everitt, CEO of Stock Spirits Group commented:
"We are delighted with the progress we have made in the region and are pleased to be able to grow our presence through the launch of this operation. We are confident that with our wholly-owned importation and distribution company we will enjoy even greater success in this exciting and growing market."
Stock's key brand in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be Stock 84 Brandy, which having achieved a 35% market share, is the leading imported spirit brand in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Stock Spirits was born out of recognition that significant opportunities lie in the acquisition and upgrade of spirits businesses across Central Europe. The company began its entry into the market with the acquisition of Polmos Lublin, the market leader in flavoured vodka in Poland. Operations then followed in Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Italy. Stock also has presence in the USA through the Heritage Brands subsidiary.
